Good Friday Service
Join us TONIGHT on Good Friday, March 29 from 7:30-8:30 PM at Adelante Studios (25 W 31st St, FL 2) as we spend time in prayer, worship, confession, and reflection on Jesus' final moments on the cross.
We’ll also be livestreaming the service.
Parents, if you’re planning on having your children participate in the Children’s Ministry gathering that night, please submit the form that Holly emailed to families last week.
Easter Sunday
Easter is about the reality of Jesus's resurrection from the dead. Without this, our faith would be futile and we would still be condemned in our sins (1 Corinthians 15:17). Even more, the reality of the empty tomb is that death will be no more (1 Corinthians 15:57). God promises a re-creation of the world where we will enjoy perfect communion with each other and God. We hope you can join us this weekend on Easter Sunday to celebrate these glorious truths!
We will also be celebrating the induction of new members to our Joy Manhattan family. On this side of eternity, we get to experience the love of God through the new family of Jesus. We hope this will be a time of encouragement for everyone in our community.
After service, we invite you to stay around for a special time of fellowship featuring a variety of baked goods.
Evangelism Prayer Night
As a follow-up to the last Evangelism Workshop led by Jennifer Chan and Peter Ong, JoyM will be gathering with Exilic Church for an Evangelism Prayer Night!
We hope you can join us on Monday, April 1 as our church communities come together for a time of reflection, prayer, and fellowship. The meeting will officially start at 7:00 PM at Exilic Church (240 W 37th St, FL 2). All are welcome!
Prayer & Worship Night
One of the ways that God loves to respond to his people is through corporate prayer. There is something powerful about gathering together and expressing our longing for God as one body.
Join us next Wednesday, April 3 as we seek God together at our next Prayer & Worship Night from 8:00-10:30 PM at The Hub (109 E 31st St, FL 2). We'll have an extended time of personal, unstructured prayer and worship. Members from our prayer team will also be available to pray for anyone who would like to receive prayer.
Feel free to come and go as you're able.
Faith & Work
The Center for Faith & Work exists to explore and investigate the gospel's unique power to renew hearts, communities, and the world, in and through our day-to-day work. To further explore this intersection, CFW is offering two upcoming workshops:
Managing Anxiety at Work (Tuesday, April 4 from 7:00-9:00 PM)
Discerning Your Calling (Saturday, April 13 & 20 from 1:00-5:00 PM)
Both workshops will be held at the W83 Ministry Center (150 W 83rd St). For more information and/or to register, please see the links above.
Compassion & Justice
An important aspect of our church’s vision is to engage the city and world. We have a recurring slot with the Father's Heart Ministry on the third Saturday each month to serve a hot, all-you-can-eat breakfast to New Yorkers experiencing homelessness and other poverty-related issues. This takes place in a restaurant-style setting that reinforces their dignity and worth.
Every Third Saturday of the month from 7:30 AM - 11:30 AM. The deadline to sign up will be 9:00 PM on the Wednesday before the day of each event. Please sign up via our CONTACT FORM.
Community Groups
Our Community Group ministry is one of the most important avenues for our church’s vision to be realized. We hope that our CGs will be a space where people can intentionally walk through life with others in being renewed by grace, experiencing God’s power and presence, and engaging our city and world. In short, we envision our CGs to be a space where people encounter the dynamics of being a part of a gospel-centered community.
Community Groups will launch mid-September.
Registration is open. Please read the important information at the top of the form before you submit your registration. Space is limited and is based on first-come, first-served basis with priority for members.
CHRISTIAN COUNSELING
Joy Christian Fellowship (both Englewood and Manhattan congregations) is now a member church of the Lighthouse Counseling Network.

All Joy members are eligible to receive access to counseling at a significantly subsidized rate from Lighthouse counselors, all of whom are practicing Christians and licensed professional counselors.
