A gospel-centered family
An important aspect of our church's vision is to engage the city and world. We have a recurring slot with The Father's Heart Ministry, a soup kitchen and food pantry, where we distribute groceries and provide a hot breakfast to New Yorkers experiencing food insecurity and other poverty-related issues.
We volunteer together every third Saturday of the month from 7:30-11:30 AM and you can sign up via our Contact Form. The deadline to sign up will be 12:00 PM on the Wednesday before the day of the event.
If you have been attending Joy for 6 months or less, or if you have visited in the past and just started re-attending, you might be looking for an opportunity to connect with others. If this describes you, we'd like to invite you to join us at our next Newcomers' Lunch happening on Sunday, November 24! We'll be meeting right after service at 12:45 PM in Studio 1 at Adelante.
Capacity is limited and RSVP is required. Attending this meeting does not indicate a commitment to joining our church, so please feel free to join as a way to get to know others in our community!
We hope that our Community Groups will be a space where people can intentionally walk through life with others encountering the dynamics of belonging to a gospel-centered community.
Our CGs are for anyone who desires to participate in earnest and with good will. Each member of a CG understands that they are agreeing to a “committed presence” to walk through life and the journey of faith in Jesus Christ with the other members in their CG.

Joy Christian Fellowship (both Englewood and Manhattan congregations) is now a member church of the Lighthouse Counseling Network.
Lighthouse is a non-profit Christian counseling organization whose vision is “to help people in their journey toward wholeness through Gospel-centered counseling,” and whose mission is “to provide accessible Christian counseling services to the greater northern NJ region, supported through a network of local churches.”
All Joy members are eligible to receive access to counseling at a significantly subsidized rate from Lighthouse counselors, all of whom are practicing Christians and licensed professional counselors.

2) Once you get approval, fill out an intake form at your desired Christian counseling center (e.g. Redeemer Counseling Services, Haven Counseling Services) and we can help get you started.
